This is a recording of me (both voices) singing the "Flower Duet" from the opera "Lakmé" by Léo Delibes.

Hope you enjoy it

  • you have a horrible accent...and the song sounds actually better with women but nice try

  • yes you're right i always had bad marks in french at school ;)

I sang the song years ago without having a clue about singing technique which made it evan worse ;)

  • who is Me?

  • me is denis from germany. why asking? :)

  • Also, Denis, who is playing piano? Are you a student of voice or did you do this on your own? I can't stop listening... is mesmerizing to hear. I wonder if a translation could be posted?

  • hey, no it's not me playing this, i only played "Der Wanderer an den Mond", which is also posted here. All the other songs are instrumental versions.

I' do have singing lessons for about a year now but this peace is recorded half a year ago so not really experianced in professional singing(by the way my teacher would kill me if she'd hear it because there is no technique in my singing ;)

  • I truly like the way you sing this Lied - usually other voices are ear-piercing.

Even if I do not understand one word or know what this song is about; the Melody is Soul touching. Very, very, beautifully performed. Thank you!

  • quite amazing..im back just to listen one more time to you..

  • This is so wonderful!

  • I am not a musician, I don't know about singing tecniques, or french (even my english needs some help, spanish is my languaje), but enjoyed it very much, bravo for you!!! keep going, you are great!!!!

  • Oh I think it's sweet. Is it technically very good? No, but for someone who clearly doesn't have the benefit of years of vocal training and technique, he gives it a really sweet, tender treatment and I was glad to listen to it.

There's a lot of raw talent there; I can only imagine what a year with a good teacher would do.

  • pretty song, don't know many guys who'll sing oprea :D but you should have made the flowers sing!

  • Very brave. But it difficult to survive up to the end, compare with other versions appear to be in Youtube

  • loving it. <3
