  • Wow! nearly 50 courts worldwide! why isnt this in the olympics?

  • In the 1400's it would have been. It was played all over Europe. Its a great game and new courts are being built but most people have never heard of it - hence the video

  • It was in fact an Olympic sport back in 1908, Gold medalist was Jay Gould II, son of the railroad magnate, Jay Gould. Game was called Jeu de Paume at the Olympics. I have been playing lawn tennis for 30 years and I love this game of Court tennis. The game focuses on discipline, technique, and mental toughness/smarts. If any one gets a chance to play, do so and see for yourself. It is one of those games that one can play until 70+ years and still can be pretty good.

  • good point. maybe not the most respectful way to say it...

but it reminds me of when I used to race bicycles and guys would "win" master's national championships for the 75+ age group by being the only ones to ever compete.

  • I play it gets pretty intense

    princes court

    Washington DC

  • Eh...but I'll stick to my street tennis

  • i am sure it is a great game to play but how can i get on to a court and how much would it cost me? This the king of elitist sports. i could invent a game played underwater on an octagon court over 3 levels with random wormholes in the walls call it the best game in the universe and then play a few of my friends in the world championship. my game could endure for thousands of years and bit it wouldnt mean shit for 99.999999999999% of mankind.

  • pretty cool
