Both Bowser and DK had high top speed but thier acceleration stank like a tank of spoild fish guts, thus making winning with ethier of them somewhat of a challange (then again all but Mario and Luigi had negitives)

Dude, I don't care if the graphics look like that, this was the best Mario Kart game ever.

I remembered how I used to play it when I was REALLY little. I had a sore throat, and my mom was making meat-loaf that night. And I didn't want to eat my vegetables, :0

That's the first time I played it.

Why does every snes/nes video has to have at least one 13 year old bitching about the graphics? It really pisses me off.
These graphics were pretty good for the time.

This course might look simple, but it's a catch 22 really. Driving slowly on Rainbow Road often results in 8th place, and driving flat out often means you fall off the course(unless you know what you're doing). SMK is also a very unrefined game, with brutal controls that really requires precision input for maximum speed and good cornering. Don't forget the AI too, which is practically cheating. God this game is fun though. If you've never played it, do it immediately!
