Hummus is from Israel... not Egypt!
The Egyptians were dipping their bread in sand before They discovered Hummus :P

hhhhhhhhh you dont know how to make hommus

I agree, but maybe he added "vegan" for the youtube search engine... who knows? :)

Vegan hommus!? Pft. That makes no freaking sense to me. Hommus has no dairy or meat products in it. How could you possibly make it vegan? Unless you're saying hommus is a vegan dish, well that counts as stealing from the Egyptians. ;)

How long do you cook the chickpeas for?

I noticed that your tahini was quite thick and chunky o_O What's up with that? Your hummus is the chunkiest version I've ever seen, but I suppose it comes down to personal preference. Thanks for sharing!

home made hummus for the win!

I usually make it a little smoother, by adding some of the chickpeas cooking water in the mixer. And I don't add any olive oil while blending.
I rather not using coriander, but I think some cumming seeds are essential.
I just finalize by spreading olive oil and paprika over it and enjoy with pita bread or saladas. Just delicious.
can you just buy the canned chickpeas?

Yes you can but it will come out a different texture because they have been cooked to a higher temprature in the canning process. If you cook your own it will have a chunkier texture and the flavour will be far superiour.
