I don't think Barry was incredibly fast, as far as breakaway speed went. But he was difficult to tackle because of his small size, and he could start, stop, juke, start again at will. He was fast and knew how to hit the openings in the line, but I don't view him as a Bo Jackson or today's Chris Johnson fast.
