@amitava1988 @amitava1988 trying to translate "yuwati mana" :
yuwati manaa daaruna rana ruchira premase : the mind of a young girl loves the fierce battle
kele raNa-bhajanaa samsaari ase amara mi : i have motivated house-wives to appreciate the battle
-
ramaNi-mana-hamsaa nara-saahasa sarasi ramawi : the valor of a man pleases the heart of a beautiful lady
shuura tochi wijaya tochi he shubha-yasha maza aale : the only thing that she considers as success is 'victory of a brave man in the battle'

@ShriShubhashish This composition is by Lataji in Marathi- Reshmachya Reghani. Ashaji narrated in a concert how shy Lataji was when she taught her this tune.
-
@ShriShubhashish hay its tuned by anandghan (lata mangeshkar)
-
@sumanniv hay dear its lal kalya dhagyani not kalya tambadya......................
keep posting us such good things :) -
This Laoni was tuned by Hridaynathji, not Lataji. Ashaji did this album in Bengali of several of her Marathi hits tuned by Hridaynath Mangeshkar.
The meaning in Bengali is quite different than in Marathi, but the Magic of her voice enchants one in both versions.
Amitava, the original tune/ compositionis Marathi- a light film song/ Lavani, if you know what that is! it goes-"Kalya Tambdia reghani karnataki kashida mee kadhila, Haat naka laavu majhya sadi la..!" if you are interested in its translation.." hey, touch not my saari..!with black and red threads i have toiled to embroider it in the Karnataka fashion!" Does this not say a great great deal with few few words, how we are one! See, this brings Karnataka, Maharashtra and bangla together!

@sumanniv I really thank you to for coming to me..!!
I m really very much excited to know many Marathi song meanings..!!
I m a Asha Bhosle Fan & like all other Legends too..
Liked your thought very much of the Karnataka - Maharastra - Bengali..!! It is indeed a cultural exchange i think of our respected regional languages..
Can u explain the jest of the song ,"Yuwati Mana..".. All i know dat its a Natya Sangeet which was sung by Dinanath Mangeshkar first & was also rendered by Asha Bhosle
