Iowa Hawkeyes Bitter Sweet Victory- Insight Bowl 2010 Football

Iowa Hawkeyes football had a lot of scandal around it heading into the Insight Bowl as players were suspended and others were out with injuries.

No one really thought Iowa was going to win that game, yet when it was all said and done, the Hawkeyes won and upset the Missouri Tigers in a thrilling game that came down to the wire, with an interception for a touchdown being the difference in the game.

"We've been in a lot of close games—in the past three years, actually—and it's a lot more fun when they come out the right way," Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz said to the media. "It's a credit to our players. They believe in themselves and prepared for this."

That's a huge win for the Hawkeyes, who have struggled at times this year.

We can't take winning for granted. We saw that when our program gets hit with adversity--we can shake it off and come out on top. Thanks for keeping it positive and making this video. GO HAWKS!

This shows that we don't need drug dealers on our team to win a football game. People said that we were going to lose very badly to these guys but look what we did we kicked there butts. A very good bowl game to watch.

@spiderdragon1969 You shouldn't judge teams at the beginning of the season. Examples: Illinois and Michigan are absolute powerhouses right now in the Big 10, and OSU, PSU, and MSU are gonig down hill. I have the Hawks going 8-4 or 9-3 at the end of this season

Once again Iowa has a weak schedule this season. They don't play anybody tough. I like Ferentz but come on, play somebody! Iowa could very well be undefeated when they go to Lincoln, where the Huskers will absolutely kick Iowa's ass! And once again, the hawkeyes will watch two other teams play for the national championship. Hey Iowa, wanna' impress the pollsters and get highly ranked? Play a tough schedule!
