Before practice began, Landon Morris, a 27-year-old whose bio says he "learned to ride horses in private school, picking up several riding disciplines and playing polo," punched his horse full on in the face. "He stepped on my foot," Landon explained, and his coach, Rod Walker, said, "And you punched him in the head?" "Had to get him off quickly." Rod said, "I see you punch a horse in the head again—no, seriously! Don't f**king punch a horse in the head. What is wrong with you?"

I have very little experience around horses, and I have actually had one of these breeds step on my foot. (I am only 5'2" ad @130 lbs.) I had enough sense not to hit the horse. IO tried to push him off, and yelled an expletive in regards to the pain, but it never even crossed my mind to punch the horse. I hope Landon never has any children. How a person treats animals is a good sign as to how they would treat their children.

It's not so much about the horse's safety as it is about respect for the animal. For over four thousand years humans have been teaching horses how to participate in combat and the bond necessary to make a horse trust, react to and participate with a human in such intense conditions requires the utmost patience and respect.

I'm a girl, and when I was 10 my fully grown quarter horse stood on my foot. It wasn't a brief thing either like in this guy's case, she stood on my foot. I was in flip flops too. I didn't pitch a fit, I didn't even consider hitting the horse and I never would. I pushed her off and that was the end of it. It didn't hurt bad enough that I even thought about hitting her. It's not like she meant to do it, and this guy is a straight up dumbass.

Getting stepped on by a horse does not hurt enough to punch them. Even if it was a big horse, his foot was clearly fine, so he obviously did not get enough weight on it to break it. Besides, if he was a real horseman, he would know that there are better ways of getting a horse to step back then punching them in the face.

This guy was stupid and deserved what he got, there is no good reason to punch a horse. it teaches them nothing except to mistrust people. That horse had no idea he had done anything wrong.

The host of this show and his co-hosts are the ones being kids. The guy reacted for that one second because he was probably in pain or shocked. This has nothing to do with respect or professionalism it has to do with human and animal nature. When someone accidentally steps on you whether it is a punch or a sudden jump, you react. Screw Zero Tolerance policy. That guy did not deserve being disrespected on national television. Good thing I don't watch this show anymore.

Sbaum82 you're an idiot..the entire horses weight won't be on your foot, they still have another 3 hooves on the ground. Horses standing on your foot doesn't hurt that much unless you're a baby.

Ehh, fuck off, It was a split second reaction. I would have punched the fucker too, not that I would want to, and that doesn't mean I would hurt my kid. Two completely different things.
