Inner Child, the second album from Shanice, features the #2 Pop and #1 R&B hit "I Love Your Smile." This album also features the remake of the Minnie Riperton 1974 hit "Lovin' You" which hit #59 on the R&B charts in the summer of 1992. Her other two singles, "I'm Cryin'" and her duet with Johnny Gill, "Silent Prayer," also proved to be successful on the R&B charts. The album was certified Gold making it Shanice's most successful album.

The 90s produced female artists like Brandy, Monica, Mary j Blige and Mariah Carey. With those superstars, people tend to forget about Shanice. But the girl can flat out sing, no doubt. Silent Prayer is my favorite song from her (all time favorite) feat Johnny Gill.
