grif9999- I agree a mix of media is the best to get a more fair and balanced point of view. I studied Journalism and the goal is to try and understand both sides. Eventually we need a media that plays it down the middle and is not as left and right. That's how news used to be - objective. I watch Fox, MSNBC and some CNN.

grif99999 - The closing of Gitmo is an improvement because right now it's a symbol of America's un-Constitutional policies and an embarrassment. Right now they use pics and vids of Gitmo to recruit for AlQaeda and other terrorist organizations. The prisoners will need to be tried and moved and then we need a system in the future that houses prisoners in their own countries.

grig9999 - Problems with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae go back before the last congress. Bush refused to enforce regulation. Failures of banks and Wall St are on Bush for being asleep at the switch. So far I'm happy with almost everything Obama's doing. The interview with a Muslim TV network on Monday - absolutely brilliant. Very smart strategic move in the war on terror. Telling people not to listen to Limbaugh - not so smart. His demographic of strident conservatives is shrinking, tho.

xilo I have a lot of respect for anyone that tries to learn as you obviously are. I think you need to find a mix of media to get an accurate picture. They all tend to tell half the story. I would suggest MSNBC and Fox. They are both biased but you get a better picture after watching both. Good luck!

It is hard to provide leadership to the opposing political party that has their own agenda. If you check you will find that it was Congress that directed Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae to make loans to people that the financial institutions said were now qualified. This is what has caused the financial crisis. I think you did not do your homework or you would have not voted for Obama. He was in the Congress that had a lower approval rating than Bush did.

your point can be right, its true i dont know the politic affairs deeply, but bush has been elected in usa the worst president ever, the congress must be responsable of the problems too, about the jail, may be a politic sign he could let the jail with a system that respect usa constitution (no torture and fair judment) you have laws against terrorism use it but not like dictatorship in my country we have suffered that, what media do you recomend me for good information? not cnn please :D

It is obvious that you are young and do not know better. Congress had a lot to do with all the problems in the US. Why arent you critical of them? They had a lower approval rating than Bush did. btw you just elected one of them to be President. gl with that!
