  • I can never get bored of seeing old VH footage. Well done!!! this is great.

  • Wow! Nothing like classic van halen. Did this person sneek a video camera in the show. The camera those days were hard to get in unless you knew somebody. Still great to watch from that view. Those were Rock N' Roll concerts

  • cool shit. i have a 2 disc cd bootleg of this show!

  • Wish all vids had the far away shots like this to get the FULL IMPACT of a VH show!

  • No this is def not 1984, because I have the 1984 Montreal show. Looks a little similiar, but its not 1984.

  • THIS IS 1984 NOT 1982

  • Does anyone else watch this video with their head tilted left?

  • Rare!!! Unbeatable energy

  • Wow. Dave's energy is off the charts here!

  • @huntersingle

Did you ever see them? Bad recording - yes. Crappy live? No way. They were the

best live band of the 80's. No they didn't do every song like the record. I'd rather hear them change it a little bit than be robots on stage.

  • @secreature My cousin was fanatically collecting bootlegs in1982. Some guys from whom he regularly bought said they'd occasionally take a camera into the arena unassembled, assemble it at their seats, and shoot. I've never understood what compels anyone to take such risks, especially when the smallest camera back then was the size of a VCR! Those guys are like recidivists who disassemble a gun, put the parts in their innards, then regurgitate the parts in prison to make a gun. Sick!

  • @jasonungar08 I was unaware that Eddie felt unable to change his style. To me, the differences between Van Halen with Roth versus Van Halen with Hagar show some degree of stylistic change. As for huntersingle, I think DLR's forgetting lyrics and losing the meter contributed to Van Halen's decision to part with Roth. However, I also think it's unfair to compare Roth to Shaw and DeYoung; each band was trying to accomplish something very different from the other.
