Grace Potter and The Nocturnals "Joey" Live Ellsworth, Maine

GPN opens with "Joey" September 14, 2010 at The Grand Theater in Ellsworth Maine.

This was the first time we saw GPN. All the subsequent live shows we have seen have been fantastic, but there was something special about this show that night (even without the regular bassist Catherine Popper). The sound was great at this little 480 seat 75 year plus old theater.

I love taking newbies to GPN so I can watch their reactions. This was (another) great GPN show.  Especially liked the intimacy and the fact that the audience was polite, not yapping and screaming like they sometimes do at venues w/ bars. Thanks so much for posting this - great memories. Maybe changing title to Grace Potter - Joey - Ellsworth, Maine will draw more viewers - this vid is worth it!
