THE WANG WANG BLUES - Fox Trot
(Leo Wood - Gus Mueller - B. Johnson - Henry Busse)
Henry Busse and his Orchestra
Decca, 198-A (9526), 1934.

As I sift through the stacks of 78rpm records stored here and there around the house, I am noticing the initials "CLB" printed on the labels of many of the more sophisticated titles. These are the initials of my Aunt Charlotte (one of the "Buffington Children" mentioned in an earlier presentation), and these are the records that she purchased in the 1930s. I am pleased that many from her collection of very special records have survived through the years, and I am looking forward to sharing more of them on Youtube.

Henry Busse was co-composer of "The Wang Wang Blues" in about 1920, around the time he joined the Paul Whiteman Orchestra. The reverse side of this record is "Hot Lips" which can be found elsewhere on Youtube.
