Minimalist lifestyle: clothing

Here's where I'm at with my clothes. I've let go of several items since my last closet updates. I realize this lifestyle is not for everyone but maybe you would like to reduce clutter in your closet. You can start by letting go of items you didn't wear last season. Also keeping to a basic color scheme--I guess mine is black-- helps a great deal to keep clothing simple. I am not big on cloths. I only had one bra until last week when I thought I had left that one at the hospital and got another one to replace it and it turned up later. I always buy for my boys first so I have only two pairs of jeans and a few shirts. It helps that I have a uniform (chef) for work and college so I don't need a lot of extras. Never really thought about it until I saw your video and I look forward to your next one.

@ataylorai1 I realize it can be very different when you have kids. I think of my work clothes as a uniform. It helps me keep it simple. I'm glad you can benefit from having a uniform for work. Thank you!

Like many people I have had clothes for my current size, plus clothes for one size up and one size down. I’ve been more optimistic lately and have gotten rid of my larger clothes. I’ll be moving north in a year or so, and my goal is to have everything fit into one suitcase. Maybe I’ll make it, maybe not—but that’s my goal :-) It looks like you’re already there! I look forward to your next video.

I love this. I 'only' have four pairs of shoes, too! Two office shoes, sandals and and good tennis shoes for walking and hiking. Women are 'supposed' to have a closet full of shoes:) I have a color palette for my clothes as well and I think that is very good tip.

I"m getting rid of some furniture this week. They are in the courtyard waiting for pick up. Love the space this makes.
