Prozac and Depression

Aldous Huxley wrote of the Brave New World where we all lived in artificial bliss. Taking "soma" to achieve happiness.
This day is quite close, self medication of legal drugs to escape reality.
If not that then alcohol, illegal drugs like exstasy. The numbing down has begun.

My anxiety and depression were out of control, without the administration of Fluoxetine, I would have taken my own life. This is a superb medication.

Agreed, my life has improved along with my thoughts, actions, and complete outlook on life.

Some doctor prescribe me fluoxetine to treat a minor depression and after some doses I got a mild mydriasis(my pupils looks bigger than before), I can't sleep well at night(wake up at midnight), I have anxiety and strange nightmares. God I only hope the side effects and withdrawals don´t last forever. These things piss me off.

Antidepressants are dangerous drugs and shouldnt be prescribed as antigripals. Be sure of the side effects before taking any medication.

I also read that prozac can cause nerve and brain damage, stifle the creativity, permanent neurochemical changes, baldess, apathy and impotence.

Be really careful.

ive been on it for almost a month now and ive been having some awful nightmares, things I would never normally dream, and they are always so vivid and disturbing. x.x also loss of appetite, and sleeping is difficult at times as well.

you took it for 3 months with all of those side effects? you should lose your license
