Endhiran Copycat

Its a shame that India's most expensive and highest grosser film is a all time big copycat. Cant Indian directors make an original film? Even thought if the film is 150 crores, it's quality is not even equal to 45 crore skyline movie of hollywood.

watch making of endhiran and see how hard it was to make a film lik endhiran even if the storuy is rip of making a film is not a joke respect once hard work especially rajni no one would sit still for 2hrs for the make up after seeing it deided only he would have done this role no other actor would have sit without moving for 2_hrs just for make up ever time!!! learn to respect once hard work!!!

The story was written way back in 1970's 80s by Sujatha. Many of the films have been shot after that.. cant accpt the fact it is copycat

We can go on nitpicking but that's not the point. You think people from lower middle/lowe class would've seen all these hollywood movies ? The point of the director is for those kind of people to go through the experience of seeing a science fiction and I don't see anything wrong in taking inspiration from other movies

That does not make their film any less appreciable. They are lauded for their efforts. In the history of Indian Cinema, there is not one film that has ever come out with the magnitude and grandeur of Endhiran. The scenes might have been copied but how do you think they executed it ? They just took the english version and dubbed it ? NO WAY ! They have to be lauded for their efforts if not anything else.

Yea all this is fine, maybe they did copy.. but saying that Indian Directors cannot make original movies is crap. With limited resources and technology we have made the world look upto us and a lot of directors stand testimony for that. Indian movies are today being considered among world movies thanks to their ethnicity and freshness. Moreover, there is a clear difference between copying and taking inspiration. I would say a lot of hollywood movies take inspiration from Korea/World Films.
