Oscar-nominated for her performance in this film, Susan Hayward gives a rendition of "When the Red, Red Robin Comes Bob, Bob Bobbin' Along". Note: the gal did her own singing in the film!

  • Susan Hayward was a great actress and this was one of her best films. I have always loved this song and I remembered she did it in the movie, so to find it here was a wonderful surprise!

  • FOR an actress not really known for singing, her vocal efforts here were extremely impressive - and her acting performance was wonderful in the Film.

    THANK you for sharing.

  • I saw this on TCM and it made me wanna cry (I'll do it tomorrow though). It was very touching, but they didn't make it period specific since the styles scream 1950s instead of 1920s or 30s (which the real Lillian Roth spent most of her career).

  • Not her best role by any means and she was a better singer than a dancer but her emoting made it work.

  • The Early Bird Catches the Pretty Worm ~ SO Wake Up~ Wake Up you sleepy head ~ Get Up get out of bed ~ Cheer Up for the Red Robin is coming your way .So Get Going with your day for you don't want to make her wait... <3

  • One of Susan Hayward's best performance, truly worthy of an Oscar. She finally won it 3 years later for I Want To Live! Another great masterpiece for Ms. Hayward, my grateful applause to a fine actress, there will never be another superstar like Susan.

  • I remember watching this movie as a kid. I absolutely loved it. Susan Hayward is one of my all time favorite actresses. Sexy & sultry, but classy.

  • Mom-You used to sing this to us all the time as kids-I miss you so and be at peace and no more pain my sweet angel Mother-and please be with sissy and tell her I miss her sooooooo-your daughter-TJ

  • talk about over acting

  • Susan Hayward was a 20th star who sought to play the life of Lillian Roth in MGM's film "I'll Cry Tomorrow". Susan had a turbulent prior experience of a failed sucide attempt over her failed marriage to Jess Barker and gave one of the greatest performances of her career in Danny Mann's film film. Susan Hayward won the Cannes Film Festival for her performance but lost fhe Oscar to Anna Magnani.

This was a huge hit movie and Susan Hayward considered it her favorite.

    A great star!
