I watched her when I was a child. I love the way she teaches yoga. Made a big impact on me. Is there a way I can get a copy of these older videos.

I was not more than 11 or 12 years old, watching her on the local Public Broadcasting Station, in the early 1970's. Because of her TV show, I was motivated to buy a book about yoga (precious few available at the time, in my locale) and checked out books about yoga from the public library (also few). I did a daily yoga practice from 7th through 8th grades.

Am glad to find a youtube video with the opening music. Is that Debussy or Ravel (piano music)?

And what was the closing music?

Oh my God! Lilias! One of my fondest memories is running to the living room on Saturday mornings to watch Sesame Street and catching Lilias! instead...She was such a small but great part of my childhood. She reminds me of a time when the yoga world had integrity. I hope she is appreciated!

I can remember watching Lillias on her show when I was a pre-teen back in the early 70s, and I would try to follow along. I don't do sun salutations too well these days though lol. Glad to see she's still around and doing the yoga. My daughter is now a yoga instructor, too.

I was reading some of the other comments. I wonder if she realizes what a huge impact she had on an entire generation ? The joy she brought to people. The discoveries about our bodies and minds she helped us make. If I could, I'd give her a big hug !

I faithfully watched her as a child and did yoga right along with her when I was just 7 years old. I did a search and found her new dvd set and bought it. I was disappointed she cut her hair LOL It's a great dvd but ...my body is'nt so great anymore. It was a lot more difficult than when i was 7 ! I may need a chiropracter hahaha I am going to keep going. I know it gets easier as you keep with it. She is a treasure ! I wish I could get some of the old shows from the early70's. Nostalgia ;o)

This is her son. Thanks for letting me know that my Mom was never married and likes "the ladies". I bet my father and husband of 51 years will be interested to know your insight.

@keithdow6 I remember seeing her husband and sons on the set once. They actually did a show together. So whomever implies she's a lesbian is wrong. She is happily married. I don't think she's fat or chubby. I like Lilian and she always had a positive attitude about life. Very wonderful personality and in fact the pioneer of yoga television. Rodney Yee also has Yoga series as well.

I was wondering if I could ever find this edition again.

When I was about 5, I'd make my mom braid my hair and find me a pair of pantyhose so I could do this right along with Lilias.

I always thought the show was Lilia's Yoga and You. Didn't realize her name was Lilias with an "s"on the end. Always watched her in the 70s. Very calming.
