Father and son float trip down the John River during fall of 2008. Son Shawn was a seasonal employee of the National Park Service on temporary duty to Gates of the Arctic to assist with backcountry use surveys during hunting season. Father was volunteering as assistant since two people are required for safety reasons. Weather was FABULOUS, and scenery spectacular. No bears seen! Darn.
Sit back and enjoy the scenes and music - this was a very great experience for the both of us. Enjoy!

I imagine that was an awesome experience. How many days? And did you see an single soul the entire time?
