Constructing numbers in Turkish is simple and straightforward. The rule is to line up the parts in decreasing magnitude like in English, but without putting any conjunctive words in between. For example, direct translation of 1256 from Turkish would be 'thousand two hundred fifty six'. Let's continue to construct numbers after you take a look at the table below. The numbers from 0 to 10 definitely need to be learned without any rule, as well as 10, 20, ..., 100 and 1,000-1,000,000-1,000,000,000.... After that, it's all about applying the simple-straightforward rules and practicing.

  • @sneighwena so many people agree? i dont, and learning iranian is hard, maybe not sounds but writing is mess

i prefer göktürk runic writing instead :D

and learning iranian would not benefit u much as türkish. if u learn turkish u can speak azerbaijan and crimean tatar languages too. and u can learn other altaic languages much easier, like kyrgyz, kazakh, turkmen, tatar, tuva, uygur, uzbek and more

japanese, mongolian, and some sibirian languages have same structure of turkish

  • Turkish has a very nice harmony unlike middle eastern languages, there is no throat voices in turkish like iranian and arabic and man and woman are equal in turkish language. There are not female and male articles. And learning turkish is like solving a puzzle.Very interesting land beautiful language

  • gule gule ...xD

  • i would think that beauty lies in the ear of the beholder. The vowel harnony makes Turkish far more gentle to listen to, especially in songs than for example German, whose sounds it essentially shares. i speak 6 languages, ranging from Japanese to Hausa and i can't see how Turkish should be any more or less beautiful. The day Iran lets me visit without a headscarf, i will think about adding Iranian, haha. :)

  • Güzel bir çalışma; yalnız Türkçe'de sayılar ayrı yazılır:

    on yedi

    yirmi beş

    kırk altı

    vs.

  • I think turkish men are hot!!

  • Turkish is an ugly language-not to sound mean, but it is true, so many people agree. It is definitely not a beautiful language - Iranian sounds much nicer.

  • thank you very much

I used to live in Istanbul for 3 years and i knew turkish very well but i forgot . Trying to learn again now

  • dont judge people by the way they talk that isnt right respect isnt a gift u gotta ern it!!!!
