  • Where is the next TR? Why? If he stepped forward today, someone would shoot him or trash his reputation as a fascist. I agree, he was one of the greatest men to ever step forward to serve this country in any capacity. But this country hates great men now.

  • Teddy is the best president ever! and he is definitely someone to idolize.

  • @bisquik3006 You are so right, plus what irks me is that i'm a socially conservative guy, but at the same time i think a government should make sure that all people have a chance to succeed and make capitalism more fair . It seems though like the only answers are euro style socialism (about half the democrats), do nothingism (like obama) or protecting the rich like the gop.

  • @bpolacek89 You obviously have open eyes my friend. Neither party has cared for the common man for years. They are like the offense, and defense on a football team. They both have different agendas, but both play on the same crooked team.

  • I love TR. I know liberals like to emphasize that he was "progressive" and while this was true, i think the big thing is that TR fought for the common man. Sadly i feel that neither party really does this anymore.

  • @kyyankee7 TR was really awesome. He hated Taft's conservatism so much he had to run again to get him out. Progressivism was what was changing and fixing the country. What happened to the Republican party?! Dems are a little odd ball themselves now too but wow.

  • All the Tea Party loonies who think they adore TR don't know him at all. For all his saber rattling, he was most of all a forward looking progressive. The Pure Food & Drug Act, the control of trusts & big business, racial equality, fair treatment of labor, universal suffrage were all part of his politics. Who was the driving force behind the preservation of America's wild lands that the Palins and Pauls would so happily despoil, & the 1st American to win the Nobel peace Prize? TR, that's who.

  • @shadowmancerix

Actually someone shot TR on the campaign trail in 1912. He survived a bullet to his chest.

  • @shadowmancerix

exactly thats why obamas president now

  • @BLCFrenzy He also trashed Taft's policies.

  • A MAN I WOULD DIE FOR!

  • @Mike8734 mccain is way to frail and reserved to be compared to TR
