  • Now I know why it's called cool jazz,cause this cut is EXTRA!

  • The arrangement already has that Shirley Scott touch (Joe Newman and Oliver Nelson recorded with her in much the same vein). And Turrentine is tops.

  • Shirley Scott was a great musician; Philly diva I remember her playing at Gert's lounge on south At with Philly Joe and Mr. C / Stanley's life definitely became richer spiritually and materially the day he met her.
