Gran Turismo 5 is to be the fifth edition of the highly acclaimed Gran Turismo racing video game series, scheduled for release in 2010. It is currently under development by Polyphony Digital and is to be published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 3. It expands on the Prologue version and will be the first of the main numbered series to feature on the PlayStation 3.

For the first time in the main series, an online mode will be available in the game, with 16 player capability. Both mechanical and external damage have been confirmed, along with interior damage for 170 "special" cars. Night racing will make a reappearance for GT5, with every course having the option for night racing. Weather effects are also confirmed to be included, although the extent of the implementation is currently unknown.

World Rally Championship, NASCAR, and Super GT licenses will be featured for the first time in the Gran Turismo franchise

Agreed but the other is easier, I like seeing all the inside to...but I like seeing the outside graphic ...nice to have the choice

@CuLLy282 cockpit view has always been my no.1 view!! e.g (GRID>DIRT 1-2>RACE on)!!! best view! and more realistic!!!!
