@PakaNoHida Damn right, "cold water" is an excuse for pussys. Come surf Ireland in the winter when the water's 9 degrees, and the air might be sub-zero. I'm sure it gets colder elsewhere (like Alaska, haha)

@PakaNoHida i would.

@PakaNoHida your comment sounds like a nike ad haha

@PakaNoHida it's mostly paddle surfing though. but surfing nonetheless

I would love to surf those waves!

I can imagine the locals being very frustrated with all those visitors coming to pipeline or the hawaiian isles in general.
Many movies i see have huge crowds in the water, which makes it very dangerous.
I would love to go there too, but seeing that all, i better go to some other wonderful place.

Its not a day for surf out there :P probably the next morning was perfect.
It's surprising how many big wave surfers there are on youtube. It's also surprising how many live on the north shore. With that many wolfpak and da hui members it's a miracle that there aren't 1000 people waiting in the line up at pipe every fucking day. lies!

The paddle out is rigorous. And so is fighting the current. That alone keeps surfers with less experience out of the lineup. The reason why there aren't as many deaths at Mav's is because it was just discovered pretty recently. You now have rescue teams and guys on jet skiis ready to put it all on the line to save your ass. Pipe, if i'm not mistaken has been surfed as early as the 60's. No leashes, no skiis, and no one to know if you drowned or got scrubbed to death.
