  • Thx for watching

  • I keep saying i wasnt racing or trying to speed shift. Was just messing around. I would hookup my car if i dudnt know how to drive it. I run low 13's on the drag strip if that helps. Mayby i need to post a video of that also. Smh.

  • Got it thru 8th civic forum

  • Smh @ hammad. Dude #1 its a 06 so i have no vsa, #2 my flashpro reads in the mid 12's, is just my gauge is off so when it reads 13.1, i know im in the 12's so do ur homework before you start trqashing, #3 i was fucking around tht day so i wasnt looking for a clean run so let it go. At hat time i was running a stock clutch so it wasnt pulling like i want it to. Go read a book bro.

  • Thats how it reads. On my flashpro its in the 12's. I dnt know y it reads like that.

  • @luminaeus i still dont have a really in depth knowledge of driving standard. i know how to and i understand the basics but ive never had a standard car of my own, i've always driven friends cars or something. i apologize for being a prick earlier, you obviously know your shit

  • @Spartan168

Rev matching saves wear and tear.

When I get on the highway, I usually take 4th gear up to 80mph then shift to 6th. I put the clutch in and pull the shifter out of 4th. I wait a second before putting the shifter into 6th. Why? Because the input shaft is still spinning faster than output shaft. If I let it slow down on it's own that's less wear and tear on the synchromesh. Same for the clutch and engine. I wait for the engine to get to 3k rpm, then I let the clutch out.

  • @luminaeus im not sure i understand you. when you press down on the clutch the engine speed slows down to allow you to safely switch to a higher gear, when its released the RPMs can climb again. why do you need to rev match to do this? all that rev match seems to be doing is adding another step to the shift and making it slower.

  • @luminaeus since when do you need to rev match on an upshift? every gearbox since the 70's is synchromesh which eliminates the need to rev match upshift and double clutch downshift.

  • Im not personally a civic guy, but I can honestly say I do like a supercharged 4cyl

  • I want to ride in a supercharged one. I ended up getting a greddy turbo in mine. I love my set up and the high revs of the vtec, however I am going to swap my k20z3 for a f20c (JDM). Thanks for posting this video man.

  • I still want to ride in a supercharged si. I put a greddy turbo kit in mine and I love it. I even loved the Honda without the aftermarket parts. That vtec is one screamin engine at 6k. I'm going to swap my k20z3 for an f22c. Those higher revs would be amazing.

  • Sold my Civic SI and was thinking of getting the Acura RS X type S
