Justice Dept Orders Florida To Stop Voter Purge Targeting Latino, Democratic Voters. 1 of 2

DemocracyNow.org - The Justice Department has ordered Florida, a likely key swing state in the 2012 election, to end a controversial voter purge that has primarily targeted Latino, Democratic and independent-minded voters. The Justice Department says saying the process had not been cleared under the Voting Rights Act. Some Democratic politicians have expressed fear the purge could help Mitt Romney win the state in November. "What we've seen in Florida is an effort on a massive scale by Governor [Rick] Scott to suppress the vote, to make it more difficult for people to vote," says Rep. Ted Deutch (D-FL). We're also joined by Diana Sen, lead counsel for Latino Justice, part of a coalition of civil rights groups working to protect Latino voters in Florida and elsewhere; and by Maureen Russo, a Fort Lauderdale resident who was among the voters initially purged even though she is a U.S. citizen who has voted for the past 40 years. "I believe it's because I'm a registered Democrat," Russo says.

Sure, continue the class warfare, if it makes you feel better. As long as 52% of the citizens pay NOTHING into income tax, as long as entitlements create more dependance, this country will continue the declind. The Democrats want people dependent on the government for their vote.

Obama is FORCED to have these fundraisers in order to equally compete with the GOP and their super PAC's. Do you really think John McCain would have done more? Or to be more recent, do you really think that Romney is going to do more for the middle class? And I would argue that the "average" $60k-$100k a year is middle class when the average income in America is around $40K? You're numbers are for people in the upper-middle and lower-upper classes.

States want the right to do whatever they want to target specific groups, but then they need the Federal database. If you want to take care of things your way, well, you already did--all of those voters were registered locally. Oh, and I love the argument down there about using liberals as target practice. You give conservatives and humans a bad name.
