I heard Dawn Upshaw about 2 years back and it was mersmirizing and haunting. Now again I am listening to Zofia Kilanowicz for first time. I hope hear more from her voice.

Zofia Kilanowicz is fantastic. I know, I know.....Dawn Upshaw was the original in this piece by Gorecki and she will always be identified with it. But, I must say that Ms Kilanowicz is also very good.

Well, I checked a few other performances and I must agree that this is the best performance I could find. Not only the voice, also the orchestra plays on a much higher level.

@filmpjesfrancis Thank god you spared yourself the Dawn Upshaw performance and listened to the lovely Zofia Kilanowicz performance instead! The 3rd movement even lovelier.
