@kozas0 ahah. Maybe its Alt+ Tab at level two, but THAT kind of wears off too. you can't just stand there, it's a constant battle (excuse the pun). Thee's the preparation, but then there's the execution too. It's actually rather exciting when in a challenging battle.

That's crazy.

You are ignoring snare, root, stun, mez, charm, DoT, DD, HoT, speed, skill drain, power tap, and debuff nanos. You are ignoring Aimed Shot, Burst, Full Auto, Fling Shot, and that is just the ranged special abilities.

PvP ranged players even use melee special abilities, just to get the edge.

@VvAnarchangelvV You are talking about character development, i am talking about combat. No matter how bad or good equipped your character is, combat is all about pressing Tab then Q. There is depth in character development if you compare it to your average MMO, but it really wears off once you try combat.

@kozas0 No, that is all -you- did in AO, against mobs your own level.

AO players who pause to think, and research online databases, and try and try again to improve their equipment until it is optimized, get to do it against mobs 10 or so levels higher than them, solo. Moreso in groups.

@Megadedly :) I love sarcasm. So I will just explain instead of dismissing what is ultimately an ill-informed comment. World of Warcraft is not a game where you design siege equipment. Quake was not a game about plate tectonics. Unreal was not a game of surrealism. Starting to see a pattern here?

That aside, Anarchy Online is about Anarchy, once you get into it far enough. Weekly news messages advance the political situation in the game world, & paid players can even participate in its debates.

@CatAtomic99 I think all they need to do to this game is a new-gen graphical upgrade and this game will be the ultimate contender to de-throne WoW.

Also EVE is boring, in no universe is it better than A.O
