@PeepsFashion what?

I love the pant-hoot.

finally we get to see some real chimp behavior! Dramatic and exciting stuff

What better way to "study" them than from a happy, wonderful home. They are so lucky and all of us are seriously lucky to get to watch them as they learn and grow and show us their ways. God bless the sanctuary! :D

It's crazy how their voices can go from low grunts to that shrill screaming. I always wonder what they would sound like if they could speak like a human, and if there'd be any difference between male and female. I read that Washoe could say a few simple words like 'cup', 'up', etc., but that they were almost inaudible because of the difference between human and chimp vocal apparatus.

@BlueLotus084 Good question about the differences between male and female. Burrito has a pretty high voice in our group. It wasn't Washoe but another chimpanzee named Vicki who was used in language research who was able to produce those few words. There's info about this on CHCI's page w w w cwu.edu/~cwuchci/chimpanzees_and_language.html
