I miss these kind of interviews from these WWF PPV'S...I miss the old times too. All we hear about now is Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross and Michael Cole yapping during matches and not commenting on the holds and moves like Monsoon and Ventura did and we also now get Trish Stratus, Sable, Lita etc showing how much of a slut they are now too by doing nightgown contests, swimsuit contests, remember that?
We also have wrestlers now that do more talking on the mic than wrestle.

I would like to see a three DVD Slick promo set from the WWE ASAP.

@DanyMercury2 oh so thats why they never use his hard times theme in the recent WWE video games.
-
@carnivalhuckster gotta agree. too bad boss man didnt have his classic face theme yet
-
@carnivalhuckster Yeah, but at least Slick could sell:)
-
Is the Big Boss Man's second theme dubbed over at the entrance? I wonder why?
-
I remember when Ted Dibiase ambushed Boss Man here. For some reason, it made me laugh when I was a kid....dunno why lol.

Actually I just saw a version of this match with jive soul bro -- must have been remastered with the new track after they got the rights. I actually like Akeem's entrance theme in this video -- anyone know what it is called?
-
@DanyMercury2 Yeah man, I actually liked George Gray as the One Man Gang and thought that Akeem was sort of silly, although still quite enteraining. Too bad the dumb WWF (aka Vince McMahon) didn't do more with Gray.... McMahon and crew also put too much emphasis on the heavyweights (Hogan, Andre, Warrior) whereas some of the best maches were with smaller, lighter dudes like Bret Hart, Rockers, Roma, etc.
This match was crap, however, the replacement theme song for Akeem is not bad, even though it isn't "Jive Soul Bro."

@carnivalhuckster Well, the match they had, three weeks later, on "Saturday Night's Main Event" wasn't that much better. They could work well together, but as a team. Against each other, it wasn't that good, in my opinion.

WHat happend to Jive Soul Bro?
Seanatonin 1 year ago
@Seanatonin "Jive Soul Bro", "Hard Times", "Common Man Boogie", and "Demolition", among others, were not used by the WWE, because they don't own the rights anymore.
What I don't get is that Dusty Rhodes danced to "Common Man Boogie" backstage, on "WWE Raw", not so long ago. So, it was used on television.

@DanyMercury2 I think when WWE made this anthology they never had the rigths to the "comman Man Boogie" however after this realease i think they bought the rights, i did hear that

@HBK344356 I am unsure if they ever fully owned the rights. I think they just never wanted to pay the royalties, and that is the reason why Jimmy Hart's songs were not as used as Jim Johnston's. We just have to look at the tracks used for the "WWE Anthology" album.
Themes for Dusty Rhodes, The Big Boss Man, and Demolition were co-written by Jimmy Hart.
