Shows an example of the synthesis of a Harmonic (Melodic) musical instrument using the Kangas Sound Editor. The first attempt at an instrument (that you can hear just before 4 minutes into the video) sounds quite unpleasant, but a number of refinements to the instrument are made until a more pleasant and interesting sound has been obtained, which you can hear at the end of the video.

It is also possible to synthesize Anti-harmonic (percussion) instruments using the Kangas Sound Editor - that will be covered in a subsequent video.

The Kangas Sound Editor is an open-source/freeware computer program widely available on the Internet (home page: http://www.kangasound.com )
