@aab163 true, you dont need a heart rate monitor unless you really want to know what heart rate you have at max!!
And anybody knows when they have maxed its common sense! bloody yanks....lol
-
i have a german shepherd aswell :)
-
what kind of heart rate monitor is that
i know its polar but what is it specifically
-
What kind of watch is that??
-
Where's the dog's HRM? :P
Great video, the hill looks like a killer!
-
@maxewiii Great vid, looks like you need to raise your MHR on your polar. Someone with your fitness should be passing out at 100% at the end of your interval.

I need to do a big poo...

Whew... just ran as fast as I could around my neighborhood.. at night! Gotta go do that stuff whenever you have energy. That's my motto.

maxewii--- I think you got the numbers alittle bit wrong. You have set your maximum heartrate a little bit low. Having said that, it doesn't take away all the effort you put in to this video.

@gabbu1984 you don't "set your maximum heart rate"...Polar - the watch computer, calculates it based on the personal data you input, such as age, gender, activity level, & a baseline resting heart rate test it performs first thing in the morning while you're lying down.

Well - 100% is relative to what you set your max pulse to on your watch.
So your 100% does not prove anything.
I dont have a pulsemessure, but i DO hillinterval - i dont need a pulse watch to tell me when im maxed out.

WRONG: the Polar Heart Rate monitor calculates my Maximum Heart Rate based on age, gender, fitness leve, & VO2-Maximum, so I am max'd out relative to my own maximum heart rate...please do your research.

of course you don't need a H.R. monitor, but how accurate & precise would you like to be? A H.R. monitor also calculates calories burned & lets you know when you've 'recovered' during the non-working part of the interval. Have fun taking your pulse though!
