@Asrarulhaq2011 I don't disagree with you. Your reply makes sense about the benefits. But I recently watched a documentary on first cousin marriage between pakistanis in britain. It was pretty sad as this one kid got a genetic disease that was not curable. According to the documentary, 555 of british-pakistanis married their first cousins and the main point of the documentary was to stop this even if the family benefits, the children suffer in the long run.

@crunkmonarch The benefits of such unions are very noticeable though. Divorce rates are far lower in such unions, as the families of each side tend to know each other and already have a strong bond. So there are benefits. Lastly, I don't understand your statement 'long nosed muslims', disabled babies? Well, it is very unlikely if it is a one off. But, in the subcontinent, people tend not to go out of their families for generations, hence the genetic disorders.

@crunkmonarch It tends to be more common within the IndoPak culture more than anything. But, this is not alien to European nations, just look at the royal families for instance. And disease is far worse in places where sexual promiscuity is common. AIDS, HIV. In addition, consanguineous marriage is not specific to muslims, South India has a large population which practice cousin marriage, and only 150 years ago is was very common in Britain - Charles Darwin was married to his cousin.

@sarahxo89 there is one god in hinduism as well. it says in the vedas, then in the upanishads and then again in the bhagavad gita. unfortunately, most hindus dont' their holy books and don't understand their religion. hindus have one god but that one god has different manifestations and therefore they worship krishna, vishuna, shiva...they're all one. sucks that you didn't learn hinduism correctly. doesn't matter that your a muslims now cuz lord krishna said that all paths lead to the almighty.
