Hey can you put the config file up again if you still have it, no worries if you don't.

just a suggestion that people use sudo su or sudo bash so that ther aren't using the outdated sh shell.

Hi nice tutorial. I used it for the start to get things up and running and later add more shares to the smb.conf. This is just what I need to start my journey into SAMBA as PDC...many thanks...

Hi, nice tutorial. im getting a error doing the configuration. I have Samba install and my XP machine can ping the ip of my server but insn't ping the damain name. When i try to add my xp machine to the domain i say that he can't find it. Is possible that you share your smb.conf file? Best regards and once again nice tutorial
