A curious question, ... If lets say i am having steak for dinner and before its cooked i cut a piece off, can i give it to my ferret even tho their eating kibble? -gabbi

@Luckyyable It's fine. I do that with mine occasionally, even though Jasper and Percy are really the only two that will pick at it.

so my pet store sells frozen mice and u defrost them in warm water is that the same thing?

@tanga1015 All mice are a completely balanced meal. I would only defrost them in the fridge or in a bowl of cold water, though, as you don't want bacteria growth.

I want to start mine on raw meat, I just wonder if they would like it

@hotlips013 Most ferrets don't like raw initially as they don't immediately see raw as food. It smells, tastes, and feels different than what they've always eaten. holisticferret60.proboards. c o m (without the spaces) has LOTS of helpful information about raw feeding!
