  • @108jimabe the picture was recorded after the music was recorded, everyone is essentially trying to finger along with their own solos essentially

  • aww Jobidaker and MartyPotatoes are friends :)

  • i wish i could get together my buds and just jam soulfully like this.. but everyone i know just wants to play powerchords on guitar.. *sigh*

  • Quit that voice at 4:36 ¬¬ we want more Jazz not tha guy talking =(

  • Jazz vs Rap/Hip-Hop:

-Jazz musicians play their own music AND most sing well.

-Rap musicians get their music made FOR them and have nothing important to TALK about. Cuz thats what they do... they dont SING!

So if you took the time to appreciate the GREAT talent these musicians have, you will find the melody quite tranquil and wonderful to listen to!

    Jazz is... REAL MUSIC!

Thumbs to the sky for JAZZ!!!

  • be disagreeable......

  • @108jimabe Because the film is out of sync with the sound. I'm still glad we've got it though. It's a record of two great artists and performances. Bird's first "SQUAWK!" is very transgressive.

  • Notice how even back in the those days; no color discrimination between musicians. All that matters was whether or not you could play.

  • At 6:44 Ray Brown, during his solo, completes an ascending run and then drops his right (plucking) hand…, yet the solo keeps on going, after he dropped his hand to his side?

    Why?
