@doofus0123 Check out vids from their Wembley shows and look up their last concert at the Dick Cavett Show.

They were superb singing totally live on the Dick Cavett Show. They sound great at the Wembley shows, but they used some backup singers to give them a fuller sound.

I think they held up very well when they sang totally live.

@drasteek Yes, they are lip synching!! I noticed that also, because Anna misses the starting cue, and the first couple of words. . Well, this was actually very common in the 70's unfortunately, not just with Abba, but many other pop groups as well. I believe the commercialization of Pop groups caused this stupid idea that every performance must sound Exactly like the studio record. It's sad, because Rock groups of the time performed many great live shows, superior to their studio recordings.

@drasteek I'm seeing this on a lot of their "live" videos. I find it very disappointing. I did actually find a version of "Dancing Queen" that isn't lip-synched. they sounded pretty dang awesome. I'll be on the lookout for more non-lip-synched stuff.

@drasteek Think about it. How are they going to produce that same sound on a live stage that they do in a studio? They don't have a sound engineer on the stage with all his fancy "tricks", like the Wall of Sound. Besides that, they're lip-syncing themselves, so what does it matter. Relax and enjoy.
