No one before Peter Posa had played Guitar Boogie like that ! Long live to Peter Posa. Hope to get an autograph someday.God bless you !

Peter Posa was the very first guitar teacher for everyone who wanted playing this instrument all over the Pacific Ocean. I learned to play guitar on hearing some of his LP or 45, like The Mad Hater, This is Peter Posa, My kind of pickin'. From Tahiti, Fiji,New Hebrides (Vanuatu),New Caledonia,Salomon Islands,New Guinea,Australia,New Zealand, we can hear "the style of Peter Posa" through most of the guitarists. He influenced our musical culture in the Pacific ! Thank you so much Mister Peter Posa

I give 7 out 10. Commercial version of Tommy Emmanuel is not bad but considering time and place Peter Rosa lived, boogie sounds great and is very advanced. Pick appeared at the end....Thanks for good post greatshzebra.

@gretschzebra This is true. I mean, although this guy isn't a "hard rocker" , his guitar playing is just dazzling. The kind of technical mastery that you here from 1:20 to 1:32 didn't come into the public view here in the US until the 1980s with players like Eddie Van Halen and "shred" guitar players.

I just listened to Jeff's Boogie by Jeff Beck and although it's a great track, it doesn't really compare to the finesse of this guy's playing. This an authentic blues guitar player.

We still jam with this when we get the guitars together. Love it.
What's Americans got to do with talent from us down this way,we are all ....not the same so cheers to us in Aus & NZ.
I vote Peter Posa the best in the world.

I'm not arguing but I'm talking about world recognition, this is an early sixties track and people can't understand why only few people, particularly the 45+ set have ever heard of him.
He would have been a household name if he had achieved success in the U.S.
...which, I think he should have. And because of this, video of is extremely hard to find

The reality is, he was from New Zealand... so nobody cared.
I'm an Australia and I work with Americans on a very regular basis, and I've learned that if you're not holding an American passport, it doesnt matter how good you are at what you do, no one will ever care.

A very good guitarist. I think he´s a relative to my father? Ivan Posa from Korcula Croatia. Does he still play?
Greetings from Sweden

As I understand it, he teaches guitar to kids in NZ, and if you have to learn off someone, this would be the guy who could teach you a trick or two.
