Very small part of the HUGE crowd on Friday, Nov 7, 2008 at the March down Market Street to repeal passage of California Proposition 8: Unfair and Unconsitutional Ban on Gay Marriage. I estimate the crowd was over 20,000.

  • The thing that will not be tolerated is constitutionalized discrimination, the stripping of civils rights, or rights that are not granted EQUALLY TO ALL. That is what is not, nor ever will be tolerated by anyone in the United States of America.

  • Our christianity is judged by God, not by false prophets or those who would take His name and His word in vain. We believe that God taught us to love, not to hate, not to divide, not to name-call, not to treat others in a way we would not ourselves want to be treated. We believe in equality for all, not just for heterosexuals or self-proclaimed Christians.

  • If you don't understand that gays are a segment of the population that is discriminated against then where is your head? They deserve FULL equal rights as straights.

History should tell us even though a democratic state is chosen to decide people's rights, their decision is not always right nor just. In CA in the 1940s interacial marriage was not allowed because the people voted on it. Well the Supreme courts justices overturned it and the public had to eat their bigotry.

    Just watch!

  • Well done guys, dont accept this!

    Greetings from sweden.

  • The Vote No crowd actually raised MORE money than the Yes crowd and STILL lost.

The Church didn't give a penny to the campaign. Church leaders did encourage members to support it, which is their right both morally and legally.

"Separation of church and state" works BOTH ways. In this case, religious institutions are ALSO protected from being infringed upon by both government policy AND the sheeple who blindly follow the pied pipers that decided to scapegoat the Church after they lost.

  • And yet you liberals are the ones who sue to get rid of God.

  • Prove me wrong. It's gay rights groups who are the ones protesting and vandalizing churches and Mormon temples. It's gay rights groups being racist against blacks and Latinos.

  • Irrelevant with regard to the point about LDS influence and money on helping Prop 8 to pass.

  • Sorry you feel that way, Stoogie. Your generalization is both inaccurate and untrue. Perhaps you should look at yourself and ask what it is that stirs up the hate you project onto others!

  • Such a great turnout! I don't think the proponents of this measure had any idea that they would awaken the activism of the gay community to this degree. Indirectly, they may have done us a favor.

  • It's so sad to see such a lack of tolerance by the gay community toward those who voted in the majority to ban gay marriage in a legal vote. What's funny about this situtation is that it was the black Obama supporters that would push the vote count to pass the amendment to victory!

  • You liberals are all about hate. Hatred of Christians, Mormons, Blacks, and Latinos.
