Aram Khachaturian - Toccata

This is a fragment of Khachaturian's Toccata, which I played in my piano recital on 07.11.07 in Pazardzhik. My program was:
1. J.S.Bach - Prelude & fugue #6 from WTC in d minor
2. L. van Beethoven - Sonata op.2 #3 in C major - first mouvement
3. Fr. Liszt - Hungarian rhapsody #4
4. Fr. Liszt - Hungarian rhapsody #11
5. Fr. Chopin - Valse #14
6. J. Brahms - Rhapsody #1 op. 79
7. S. Rachmaninov - Prelude op.3 #2
8. A. Khachaturian - Toccata
9. Al. Vladigerov - Variations on the bulgarian folk song "Dilmano Dilbero"

I am so sad! I am so sad that you didn't put the WHOLE piece on Youtube ! This is so rarely heard and you play it masterly. And I agree withHomerJ666, this is MUCH better than other renditions.

Oooh that was really nice. Unfortunately the grand piano which I'm playing on this vid isn't in this hall anymore so I can't make a whole permofmance again to capture the whole piece. But I could record it at home, although the effect's not going to be tha same :)

hehe ja echt es is eine frechheit. ich spiele einige teile auch etwas anders als du - jeder spielt es ein bisschen auf seine art und weise (is auch gut so) - aber was manche leute aus diesem wunderbaren stück machen grenzt an kriminalität! :)
