As confirmation hearings got underway at the international criminal court in the Hague, Victims of the 2007 post election violence most of them IDP"s held a demonstration in Nakuru Town demanding to be resettled. The group who are in support of the Hague process, says through the international criminal court , justice would be delivered and accused the government of focusing the Ocampo six while neglecting them.
@sirjonduke As complex as it would be i think it's much better than spend new money the govt does not have

@drsugarcane - Let's add a touch of reality here. Elections coming soon, tensions still high, lame duck government, war-mongering still going. Take that picture and add to it a family of four - parents with two kids living in these camps knowing very well that returning to their homes would mean the end of life as they know it. No, this is one situation where leadership from the top would be greatly appreciated.

@Drsugarcane, that sounds good on paper. Would you want to move back to a place where your whole family was killed and where the rule of law doesnt mean shit. Govt has dropped the ball on the IDP problem. These guys should have been resettled or compensated. Let the govt use imminent domain to claim their former lands, then give them cash or reintegrate them in non conflict areas

Government must enforce that IDP's go back to their former homes. We must be a nation of laws! How can someone kick you out of your home, grab your land, threaten you and go scott free?
