  • @stanner72 That's J J Barnes's version, not Marvin.

  • the hand of fate sucks...smh

  • you should hear the Marvin version!! A Cellarful Of Motown Vol. 2...

  • Actually I get goose pimples listening to this song..... oooh baby I was only 7 when he made that song....... rythems and tamborines, drums just gave me goose bumps

  • This was the first 45 record I ever bought - this track on one side and I'm Wondering on the other. Can't remember which was the A or B but they were both great. That was nearly 40 years ago! It still makes me want to dance. Thanks for putting it online.

  • @crut5 And I agree with you on that! Motown and the Gordys dominated the 1960s, 1970s, & 1980s as well before Gordy stepped down in 1988 and sold it to MCA!

  • A Motown Holiday; now there's a brilliant idea. Ought to have a segment on Motown taught in U.S. History classes too!

  • One of the best basslines by James Jamerson

  • I've said it before and I'll say it again---America should establish a Motown holiday!!!! Such greatness came out of that place!! It's just amazing! I grew up in the 60's . What Motown, it's stars, writers, arrangers, producers, etc., etc., --and the Gordys did changed the music scene in America and the world!!!! Black folks did it!!! My folks!!!! Yes, Jesus!!!!!!

  • @CSZ45 Yes he did! Back in 1967 as the flipside of "I'm Wondering" released as Tamla 54157 in September of that year(1967)
