  • My neighbor is the most devoted christian I know. Remind me to tell you about him someday.

  • There can be a difference bewteen devotion to christianity and devotion to Christ.

  • We haven't had a video from you in AGES. I've been missing them... lol. However, I couldn't disagree more :)

  • Ash, you are so agreeably disagreeing, it's a pleasure. I cannot help but wonder if your understanding is according to the scripture regarding those who the disciples "reported" as preaching Jesus but who were not "with them"

  • If we don't cling unto the robe of righteousness of Yah'shua, we'll have our naked spirit dressed with 'shell' mentality, without even noticing it, because we have turned blind in the mean time (Rev. 3:16-19). Bless

  • Yes, we can be easily led astray from the simplicity of devotion to Christ and make it into some sort of esoteric exercise for the intitiated, whose intitiation fees are gladly collected as we lead them into the wisdom that is from beneath.

  • Thankyou brother Israelx7- well said

  • I don't believe in god but I don't care if people want to believe, as long as they don't try manipulate and rip off people, it's all fine with me. A lot of these evangelical churches are now trying to get political power with the money they extorted from their parish with religious merchandise and donations. Here is where it stops being a noble cause and becomes a organization that lusts for power, Hillsong and similar churches are a disease, they should make their activities illegal.

  • Thank you. I find it encouraging to know that not all of the Church has been swept up in such things.

  • amen :)

  • In 2007, a leading member of Hillsong, John Orehek, pleaded guilty to two of the 31 charges of 'fraudulent misappropriation' of funds, including defrauding 200-plus fellow members to the tune of A$20 million, by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

  • to you fools who think that money is a tool, you are the tools, its a fact and even the govenment knows, where have all your tithings gone, shore they give a small portion away but where are the missing tens or 100 of millions of dollars gone its a fact not to the needy,do some investigating into what your doing GOD gave you a brain.

  • man look hard and strong my friend and dont be fooled by brian houston he has twisted gods word big time.

  • Money is an aspect of Power, wich leads to corruption.

It's a very thin line between good doing and gain...

  • Hillsong proudly donates $400,000 out of the $18 million it garners through donations towards good works each year. To put that in perspective, the Salvation Army spends about $30 million a year to pay for all its operations in the two states of New South Wales and Queensland, but that salary and expenses bill supports more than $160 million of welfare and charity work (Millenium project). On the plus side, the Houstons all live in multi-million dollar beachfront apartments.

  • ...200 people at an average of $10,000 a head? Move over Brian let Mr Orehek run the sales pitch!
