Skoda actually build better cars than their VW and Seat stablemates - even VW themselves have admitted that. They are closer to Audi than VW, it's just badge snobbery from the ill-informed that think otherwise.

@boy638 no, its working fine. it just has a system that when you turn lef for example the left fog light turns on so that you have a better look on the road.

This version if the superb looks like a mommy car, why ANYONE would even think of buying this over the sedan version of superb is beyond me

Well, those who buy skodas are ppl who do not care about design, emotion etc.. Skoda is IMHO a reliable and economic car. It uses VW/Audi technology and that is the main point, no matter if the thechnologie is from the previous "season". The car might be cheaper than its brothers, but if its in the shop, you pay Audi/VW prices for maintainance.

@skorob2010 ; Do you really believe the Skoda looks better than a VW, are you blind i only bought the wife a Skoda because its a cheap runaround no other reason, but its now costing a lot more than my VW.

Her girlfriends also call it ugly and uncool which is also putting her off the Skoda brand, VW next time.

Never let garage staff drive your car - insist on a copy of their driving licence and insurance certificate. I know of two car owners prosecuted for permitting a car to be driven without insurance because the person from the garage was part-time and not covered by company insurance. The other had been banned and didn't tell anyone but had a minor bump, so the owner was also prosecuted! insist on documents first...

@pissigubbe Skoda are still built in Skoda factories but like all VAG group products, they share engines and floorpans with VAG. Skoda just happen to be better built than VW's but for fractionally lower prices - in fact, the new Passat Estate was tested against the new Superb Estate - the Passat cost £10 yes, just a tenner more, and as always, the Skoda beat it hands down.The Passat is nice, it doesnt look as good or drive as well as a Superb estate tho.
