I first heard this off of the first Nitty Gritty Dirt Band album and have been performing it to open all of my own performances with several different bands and solo since. Love this song. Me best performances of it were probably with a gal named Linda Greenlease when we were both in Utah and played with a group called The Happy Valley Philharmonic. Boy, were those the days of music.
Excellent cover. I first heard this on Linda Ronstadt's Retrospective album, which had two other Mike Nesmith songs. I suppose it was intended as a slower song, but when played like this (as Linda did) it is really a fun song.
We were there. Wonderful music! The guests were Chelsea Williams and Scott Gates. Wonderful young talents. Nathan McEuen has two CDs that are fantastic and Chelsea has one.
Yep, good song written by Mike Nesmith of The Monkees fame. I first heard the song on a Nitty Gritty Dirt Band album called "Uncle Charlie & His Dog Teddy" from the early 1970's.

great song, great performance and there is nothing like a live acoustic jam. John McEuen is a class act.
