Dedication of Rachel Carson Station Part 1 of 2

On May 27, 2008 the Springdale Post Office was renamed Rachel Carson Station. Clip Number 1 in the video contains a portion of U.S. Representative Jason Altmire's speech at the ceremony. Clip Number 2 contains a speech from a U.S. Postal Official and the honoring of two young artists who painted a nature mural scene in the lobby of the post office.

For those who may be curious, part 1 and part 2 of these videos were put together with all free open source software including: Gimp, Gimp Animation Package, Avidemux, Audacity, and FFMPEG. Most of my little videos are processed with a combination of these and other free open source software programs, including Blender and Synfig.

How about a Post Office for Adolph Hitler???

Carson did kill more people with her book "Silent Spring" (which banned DDT - which was very effective against malaria in Africa) than Hitler killed in his lifetime!!! And all without a single study to prove her point!

Silent Spring is the most dangerous book ever printed since "The Witches Hammer" showed people how to identify and kill witches in Europe!!

Lets just forget this book was ever printed - it would NEVER get printed today!!
