When Rachael White stumbled upon an article about vintage fruit spoons, she decided that people had forgotten the splendor of entertaining at home with beautiful utensils. Six years later, the Los Angeles-based designer established Demitasse Jewelry with the idea to design jewelry inspired by intricate metal designs from flatware.
Using gold, diamonds, and other precious stones, White creates miniature pendants of knives, spoons, serves, and more. Her most recent collection, Demistache, features five different mustaches on chains to pay homage to facial fashion with an ultra-feminine twist. A favorite of many celebutantes, her work has appeared in major publications including Food & Wine, People, Lucky, and Cosmopolitan.
