So sad to see these things happening in our own country. The hunger for development and money are driving majority to do crazy stuffs. The same thing is going on in Shillong too, where in the name of development, the Govt is trying to mine Uranium very next to Shillong city. Mainland India will reap benefits from such project but the consequences to the entire region of N-E will be a disaster. This is what usually happens to a country when it is run by business men.

@xsgulshan recently my trip to Shillong was a mixed experience! The entire approach road to Shillong from Guwahati was being dug up/(widened??) by huge bulldozers and cranes. Small hills besides the roads were being completely raised to the ground. Even lot of small homes were destroyed in the process! The road which would otherwise have been picturesque was all dusty. The entire flora had turned red with dust!

I wonder what the idea was? were they only widening the roads?

This video accurately represents the conditions of tribal and call for more inclusive development policy. This however by no means justifies the violence carried by Maoist supported by China. Maoist no longer serve the interests of tribals, very similar to what terrorists do in J&K and LTTE. All of us know what communist party has done in West Bengal. BE CAREFUL WHO YOU ARE SUPPORTING...JUST BECAUSE MAOIST SAY THEY SUPPORT THE CAUSE OF TRIBALS DOES NOT MEAN THEY ACTUALLY DO..

@ashujain2 where did Maoists come into this? This is a plane and simple song about the exploitation of the adivasis and their way of living by the Indian state and big capital, and adivasis are protesting all around.

It is only some people who find the Maoist way of protesting a thing to be hyped and mentioned. That is why millions of adivasis protesting non-violently are neglected or silently butchered, while violent resistance enjoys all the limelight and attention of the State, and the media.
