  • Patti is simply too good for the music industry in every way. She'd have to dumb her talent way down to make it. I'm glad you didn't do it Patti. By the way, a white woman could NEVER sing like that if her life depended on it!

  • there are so many things that I can say about this woman. After watching this clip, ive decided that as soon as I find the tme, Im going to do my own little dialogue on youtube, about her. Im taking my cue from a woman who did it for Phyllis Hyman. I was inspired because Pattis' music/singing has left this weird mark on me that almost identifies me in a way. My ENTIRE family knows that Im a big fan. Ever since I heard " Messin With My Mind", my life aint been the same.

  • I love Patti but I don't totally agree with her about the "if I had a white face I would be more successful" thing. I mean Whitney, Michael, Janet were black artist who were not only hugely talented but hugely popular. They created their own categories for others, including some white artists, to follow in.

  • who cares about race, talent is whats important and patti has a ton of it and then some

  • Where is Jane Wallace now? I can't find any current information on her.

  • Love, Need, and Want Patti in my life!

  • Can't wait to see it my brotha! ;-) I'm also a huge P.H. fan, since I was about 9. . . Also the 20 sec clip of "Nightbirds" is beyond words. If somebody has the full video, please post it!

  • Ive loved Patti since I was 6. and I have never known that she had her own clothing store...looking at this makes me respect her and admire her even more (altho I have respected and admired her since forever)

  • well she been made it according to me...11-26-1988 i was born...and i'm pretty sure a few months later i probably said "Patti LaBelle" lol...yup, i'm pretty sure I did...

  • where is that performance of if you dont know me by now with that sparkly blue dress! where!!

  • She had a retainer on her lower teeth, dear. Thats where the lisp came from.
