Keep avoiding it. Plot is the glue in the Roach Motel. Vague concepts are often superior to concrete ideas. Rigid and cold, concrete ultimately leads to disapointment. Do not cement your artistry with the expectations of others, especially the audience. Vomit your words on the page and be proud. Tell your critics that you are the phoenix of French Impressionistic Cinema and that they have not the soul to understand.

In earliest societies, 13 was considered an extremely lucky, almost holy number ---but I think it had more to do with the fact that 13 was, at that time, the highest number imaginable, seemingly a single step removed from the infinite; but once 14 was discovered, 13 quickly fell out of fashion.

@FromUnderTheRock > Since early societies (actually ever since Jesus were said to be crucified) 13 has been an unlucky number, because Jesus had 12 disciples and was number 13. And as we all know, it's said that if 13 people dine at the same table, the first to stand and leave will die shortly after. And Jesus died. That's why. Just thought I'd be a know-it-all ;)

thirteen people dine at a table and the first to leave dies....hmmm...sounds like a potential Wes Craven movie --the producers could use the tagline "based on true events" :^)
